Mandates are the opposite of freedom. The last 2 years have been filled with mandates from masks, to vaccines, to shutting down businesses. How long will We the People allow these unconstitutional mandates? How far will we allow them to push? It's time to to take back our county and state health system that have failed us. It's time we do something about it!
Democracy in our republic is in danger. Without true and honest elections, there essentially is no democracy, and our republic falls. There is extensive evidence in the form of videos, affidavits, and ballot discovery that has been ignored. Too many of our government officials are too spineless to act. This needs to be addressed immediately.
Schools are indoctrinating our children on topics that do not belong in classroom. Critical Race Theory is teaching children they are either victim or oppressor. Sexually explicit books are easily accessible in our school libraries. We need a return to teaching solid academics.
The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America. Our founding fathers authored this incredible document with a specific purpose: "to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity." I will always defend our God given rights, which are protected by the constitution, including the 1st and 2nd amendments.
Keeping Us Safe
Supporting and funding law enforcement is critical for the safety and well being of the citizens. Experiments in "defunding the police" have been disastrous in many communities. I stand behind our Kent County law enforcement and pledge to ensure our Sheriff department receives the financial resources and community support they need.
I am unapologetically pro-life. I firmly believe that life begins at conception. Abortion is a tragic choice that takes the life of the unborn child, and potentially affects the the mother psychologically for life. I vow to advocate for our most vulnerable citizens and be a voice for the voiceless. I will also strive to support mothers who choose life.
One of the primary responsibilities of a commissioner is fiscal responsibility. Are we asking the right questions about federal funds that we accept? Are we wisely spending the taxes we collect? Are we starting programs that make sense for our community and needs? Are county roads getting attention? Is there frivolous spending? These are questions I am not afraid to ask.
I have led the fight to invest in our local agricultural economy because it creates jobs, preserves our rural character, and keeps our government small and taxes low. I will promote common sense land use policies that grow our economy and reduce the size of our government, while allowing for responsible residential development.
Government is intended to be "of the people, by the people, and for the people." I am a farmer, small business owner, and a man of the people. I will fight with you and for you. We have witnessed the tyranny that results when government gets too big and powerful. We must restore power to the people. I vow to listen to the people and fight for what is best for our community.
